WebCSD should also continue to work on Mozilla Firefox until the end of 2016, but beyond this point Firefox intends to remove support for Java (via NPAPI plugins).

WebCSD works on Internet Explorer but for the best user experience we recommend using the AstexViewer on this browser. You can select the WebCSD Viewer on the Viewer tab when you are looking at an entry.

We are currently working to replace the use of Java within WebCSD. The CCDC’s Access Structures service already uses JavaScript which means it can be used on a wide range of internet browsers. The Access Structures service will form the foundation for replacing WebCSD.
